Effective 3 September 2026

VELOREACT ("the app") collects nothing. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software development kits in the app. The app contains no networking code and makes no connection to any server operated by us or by anyone else.

What the app stores

Your settings - speed units, distance units, decimals, sound, haptics and appearance - are saved on your device only, in the standard iOS app preference store, along with two markers recording that you have seen the safety notice and the first-run tutorial prompt. The app keeps no pitch history, no sessions and no records of anything you calculate. That data:

  • never leaves your iPhone or iPad,
  • is not readable by us or by any other app,
  • is included in your device backup if you back up your device, under your own Apple Account and subject to Apple's terms,
  • is permanently deleted when you delete the app.

There is no way for us to see, recover, or export it, because it is never sent anywhere.

What we do not collect

No name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, health data, device identifier, advertising identifier, usage analytics, or crash data is collected by this app. The app requests no system permissions.

Leaving the app

The Shop tab and the social account rows are links to our website and to social platforms. Tapping one opens your browser and leaves the app. The app sends nothing with you - no identifier, no record of what you calculated, no indication that you arrived from the app.

Once you are on those sites, their own privacy policies and cookie practices apply, not this one. Our storefront is operated on Shopify, which sets cookies and collects analytics as any online shop does. Anything you buy there is a transaction with us on that website, not a purchase inside the app - the app sells nothing and processes no payment.

Beta testing through TestFlight

While the app is distributed as a beta through Apple's TestFlight, Apple provides us with information about that testing: crash logs, and any feedback or screenshots a tester chooses to send using TestFlight's feedback feature, along with the tester's email address as it appears in TestFlight. That collection is performed by Apple, not by the app, and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and the TestFlight terms you accept when you join. We use it only to fix the app, and we do not share it. Feedback you send us by email is kept only as long as needed to act on it.

Children

The app is intended for coaches, instructors and parents, and is used around youth baseball and softball players. Because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any user of any age.

Not medical or diagnostic advice

The app is a coaching and teaching reference. Its reaction-time equivalent velocities come from a simple straight-line flight-time model, not from measuring your pitch, and nothing in the app is a medical opinion, an injury-risk assessment, or a guarantee of athletic outcome. The app reports flight time; it does not judge whether a drill is safe for the people in front of you.

Changes

If a future version of the app collects anything - cloud sync or accounts, for example - this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
